On July 18, 2016, Chinatex Corporation was incorporated into COFCO Corporation (COFCO) under the approval of the State Council. The Cotton business, Chinatex’s main business has become one of the four core businesses (grain, oil, sugar and cotton) of COFCO.
The 14th Five-Year Plan is the first five year period after China has realized the first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and followed by embarking on a new journey toward the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects. It is also an important period for China's textile industry to enter a new stage of high-quality development, as well as a key stage for Chinatex to promote reform and transformation to achieve high-quality development. Chinatex will follow COFCO’s general policy—“High-quality, globalization and risk control”— consolidating our position in the cotton , fabric, printing and dyeing industry, expanding the influence of our textile and garment business through steadily improving quality, adjustment and upgration, transformation and reformation, strengthening operations and innovation.
